I know it’s been a while since I posted.
Since October I’ve lost 26lbs through watching my diet and tracking my calories. So I’m pretty happy about that.
Another 26 lbs and I’ll have reached my first weight loss goal of 200lbs.
Another reason I wanted to post this update is because I thought it was important to talk about mental wellness. A healthy mind goes hand in hand with a healthy body.
I started a journal today, something I haven’t done since high school. Hoping it will be helpful and cathartic.
Aside from my journal I plan to update this blog as often as possible. I need to be back on track with my diet and healthy life.
Not sure how to end this post so I’ll just say again that mental health goes hand in hand with physical health.
This weekend was tough. The temptation to cheat was too great. We had 2 cheat meals! But that’s ok, we’re starting a new week with new opportunities to make it up!
Today was tough. I just wasn’t feeling like leaving the house. Not feeling good about myself. Feeling tired from the day before. Just generally down.
But I picked myself up and pushed through the “pain”. I forced myself to do it and I’m so glad I did. I felt so much better afterwards.
It’s not easy dealing with depression while trying to stay fit and healthy because somedays you just don’t want to do anything.
But it’s important that you give it your best shot.
I really feel like I accomplished something today.
